The time I went some where and was so anxious to get back home is when i went to New York New Orleans with my grandparents to visit my cousins for one whole weekend, It was the first time i had been so faraway from home before, It took 24 hours to get to New York Orleans. It was really fun, I stayed at my cousins friends house, it was so fun, we eat pop corn and ice cream and pizza and we watched so much TV but when i left to go back home it felt good to be back in my own bed and house.
The time I went camping with my grade six class in New York, Fish Creek Pond. It was my first time and last time camping. A lot of people enjoy camping, but I do not. I can't stand sleeping on the bumpy ground or sleeping in a tent with bugs. I also can't stand how cold it gets in our tent, during the night. When we went camping, we went for three days and two nights. The second night I was so excited to get back to my crazy, but loving family
The time I went to my cousin's house for a sleep over it lasted a couple of days. I was having a great time over there until I fell down some stairs and fractured my left leg. The next day my dad picked me up to go to the hospital. We were at the hospital for a day and a bit. I got back home at 2 am the next day and I was so happy to be back home after all of that.
The time in grade six when we had to go to a bio-dome for three full days! It was pretty boring cause we had to sleep on the ground with only a sleeping bag. The worst part was that it was beside a huge aquarium with millions and millions of fish. Where I was sleeping was right beside the door with the filter for that aquarium and I just couldn't sleep all night! I think the worst part was the food. I couldn't wait to get back home into my bed and eat some good food!!
I got really excited to return home when I was on FTX (Field Training eXercise) at cadets. I was gone for three days in Kingston, Ontario receiving unsatisfying ration pack meals for breakfast and lunch. I usually got apple oatmeal for breakfast and vegetable ratatouille for lunch. It was fun but barely any sleep since I got the spot where the cold rain drips on you. I was there for thanksgiving weekend (three days) and spent a night in a poorly constructed tent with my friend. The second I heard the bus come down the road I jumped out of sleepy mode, grabbed my stuff, help take down the tents and ate an energy bar as a reward for surviving. Omar Kamal
It was my best day ever where I had to come back home after coming back form babysitting a birthday party of 27kids 6 year old :( I was thinking "great I'm gona make some cash. And there's no problems I love kids it's gona be a Blass." OMG it was terrible about 5 kids cried after 2 hours, because they were tired and wanted to go home (that made two of us) it was just to much pressure with that many kids, I babysit usely, but this was my first time working for a birthday party of 6 year olds and 27 of them....when I came home all I did is sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last summer i went to my grandmas house for one week. I love going there but there's no wifi so i couldn't text my friends or go on netflix which sucks. My grandma only has Greek channels on television, so I don't really watch television. I was excited to go home after a few days because i missed being in a house full of people and being on the internet. It's really quiet at my grandmas house and there's nothing really to do, so being home just makes everything better. Nikki Tsitouras
In the summer of 2014, my family and I went to Ceder Point, Ohio. Ceder Point is the biggest amusement park in the world, so you can imagine how fun it was. We went for three days and I had a great time, but on the way back, I really wanted to be home. We had to drive 13 hours to get home. We were driving in 2 cars, my mom and my dad’s, both with 5 seats. When we started driving, I was able to get a few hours of sleep, but then there was still 9 hours! Being stuck in a car for half a day is very painful. When we got home I was so excited to hop in my bed. When I did go to sleep, I slept like an angel.
During the summer that just pasted we went on a trip to Niagara Falls. I was so excited to go with my little boy cousins and my family. We had a good time at Marineland going on all the rides and watching the show. After being there for four days, we started to drive back. The drive is about eight hours but, on our way home everyone got tired so we stopped at least ten times I hated the drive it made me never want to go back and just get home.
Everytime I'm at school I can't wait to go back home. All I can think of when I'm walking in the morning to the bus stop is that I want to go home and sleep. Usually when I just get to school it's not bad because I get to see all of my friends which is good. It's always when the bell rings for class that I get annoyed, especially if its Mr. Katz's class! :) I'm excited when it's lunch thought because I get to eat, hangout and that's always fun! After lunch though, I don't wanna start working, I just really wanna get home at that point. I always look at the time, hoping for it to go faster. When the bell rings I get so excited because I can finally go home and sleep!
Last summer in San Diego I went to the San Diego Zoo with my family. Whenever I stay in the sun for to long, I start to feel terrible and I get close to fainting. When we got back to the hotel my mom and step dad went to the pool, my brother went somewhere with his friends and I was in the hotel about to go somewhere but right before that I went, my head started to hurt like crazy and I could barley stand up! I just felt like being home, watching a movie with my family. Not being in a hotel room all alone and dizzy. But my parents came back after 30 mins and I felt better already.
When I was eight years old, I went to Niagara falls with my family for three days. I was very anxious about the whole situation because I didn't travel very often. It was a new experience for me and I was not sure how the trip was going to turn out. The trip was actually really fun, but on the way back all I could think about was being back home. It was a cool new experience for me and it made the feeling of being home even better and made me aware how travelling would be like when we take another trip. In the end I was tired and just happy to be on my own bed again.
I always want to be home. Im not a ''social butterfly''. I dont want to go out, unless its with people that i know are chill, and wont run everywhere and stuff when they see something new. I dont have memories of leaving and being home sick or anything like that because i usually leave when i know im going to have fun.
One time I wanted to be home really badly was earlier during this summer. I went to Plattsburgh for a week with my grandparents. As much as I love them, the trip wasn't the greatest. While my brother had a bunch of kids his age to hang out with, I was stuck alone. I did have some fun, but I was just really excited to get back home and see my friends and other family. I'm also just happy my grandparents had fun with my brother and I.
Once I went to Florida for like two weeks and I was really homesick and I really wanted to get back home so badly, to sleep in my own bed and other stuff.I didn't really feel that comfortable on the trip but I still enjoyed it.When we arrived back home the first thing I did was I jumped on to my bed .
