THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE (1) BLOG THIS WEEK.  It is due Wednesday September 17 @ 11:59pm

We are three (3) weeks into the new school year.  On Thursday evening, many of your parents will be attending a meet the teacher session here at St. Thomas High School.

How has the start to your 2014-15 school year gone thus far?  What have you told your parents?  What have you not told your parents?  Explain.

  1. The start of the school year has been pretty good for me since I am new to the school. I have told my parents pretty much everything. They also ask me everyday what I have done that day so I tell them everything that is important for them to know. I don't think I haven't told my parents anything!!

  2. The start of the school year was like any school year, they all share the same feelings like exhaustion, moody and a bit nervous I guess, but it usually after the first day. So far I've only told my parents about important papers that they have to sign and math homework I need a bit of explaining on and one science quiz I got 100 on. I haven't really told them my quiz results even though I did really good on them so far. I don't like that feeling of being overly praised for a small quiz or test, but it does fell good once and a while. So far it's been going good this year, even though the hot weather is goon I still like going to school and seeing the people I hang out with.

  3. The start of this school year has gone pretty good i was really excited to see all my friends but not to start work and wake up really early. I didn't really tell my parents anything because my mom is out of town and my dad is hardly home. When my parents ask me about school, I tell them about my teachers and all the important stuff that they need to know. I don't tell them about my homework and useless stuff that they don't have to know

  4. The start of the school year has gone alright I guess. I made of few new friends and still hang out with my older friends. I told my mom what there is to be told about this year. I have only really spoken about teachers, projects and tests with her. She isn't super nosey which is nice.I haven't really spoken to her about who I hang out with or who I like. I never tell my family if I like someone or what not. I just wish that this year we can start school at like 7:30am or 8:00am, because it would make me less moody and grumpy.

  5. The start of this year is going well so far (let's hope for no drama) but I am happy to see my friends again. The only thing I would argue is the time we wake up at. I don't get very tired but when I do, i get really grumpy. I tell my parents my projects and homework, but when they ask me what I did that day, I usually only say "good". I don't tell my parents what happens at school or my feelings.

  6. The start of this year, is going pretty well i made a 3 or 2 new friends and i still hang out with my old friends. I tell my mom everything like who i like and whats going on at school and my dad i just tell him about school work, teachers and projects not my feelings cause its weird telling my dad how i feel about a boy because all he is gonna say "you shouldn't like boys joanna you're to young". If my dad does ask me if i like anyone i just say no one.

  7. This year has been great for me. I like all of my teachers. I've made a few new friends because I'm in the immersion this year. I've told my parents about all of my teachers and who I hang with. I've my parents pretty much everything about school and what I do in school, the only thing they don't know is I feel when I get in the car after a long day at school.

  8. This year has been off to a great start. The teachers are awesome. I’ve made a couple new friends through classes and outside of class. I’ve told my parents about which teachers and who are the ones from last year. I’ve told my parents about what’s going on in class (no gossip cause then they will ask everyday), like the 95% paperless challenge. I haven’t hidden anything from my parents.

  9. The start of the school year has been pretty good, nothing to hard to do in class,no detentions yet so I guess that's good.I've told my parents about the important stuff like meetings in the auditorium for example the english meeting about the computers also about quizzes.I haven't told my parents about my homework, stuff we have been doing in class, they usually don't ask.

  10. So far, the start of this school year has been pretty good. My teachers are really nice and I made some new friends. I thought this year would be harder than last year but it's so much easier and I hope it continues to be that way. Usually, I only tell my parents about school stuff like, tests, homework, teachers, classes and that's pretty much it. I never really tell them about what happens in school that's not involving work unless there's something they need to know or something that bothers me but that never happens.

  11. The start of this school year has been like every other year. My teachers are great and I made a few more friends. This year actually feels easier then sec.1 for some weird reason. I only told my parents about things like meetings, quizzes, teachers. I don't tell them about much other than work and things that involve learning. Anyway, I hope this year is gonna be a good one.

  12. so far my school year is going great. my teachers are very nice, the school year is going great. I made a few new friends. the school year is a lot better and easier. I like the idea of chromebooks and all of the work being done on the chromebooks. this is something that I really enjoy doing and I have never done before. I don't tell my parents that much, I only tell them stuff that is important or any concerns that I have. Andre bernier

  13. The start of this school year is going pretty well. My teachers are better except for a few like mr guenette. The only thing that didn't change was the office, this year the office already gave me 8 detentions and I had to miss classes to go talk with the VP. I told my parents most of the stuff that's happening like meetings, quizzes, teachers. I don't tell them about homework and the things we learn in class.

  14. The start has gone pretty good so far, it's cool that I have classes with my friends and my teachers are nice. I've told my parents about quizzes and tests so far but I don't really tell my parents what my homework is but if they asks I'll tell them what it's for. I also don't really tell them what happened in class or what I talked about with my friends during the day.

  15. The start of school has gone pretty well so far, its awesome to have half of my friends in like all of my classes and I've got a lot of new teachers that are really awesome and cool. I tell my parents about quizzes and test and projects. But if my mom asked me how was my day I would tell her what I did in class and what I ate for lunch and what I did in class but if something happened in school like a fight I wouldn't tell her because she would want to have a talk with me and nobody got time for that

  16. The start of the school year is going pretty good so far. I tell my parents if I have any projects and if they ask what homework I have then I will tell them. I usually don't tell them how my day went. Only if they ask me. If they do ask me, my answer is simply, "good." I will only tell my parents things that are really important. If it is not then I wouldn't usually tell them. I am still not liking how I need to wake up at 6:30am everyday from Monday to Friday. Overall this school year is starting of pretty well.

  19. This past 3 week were good, I made new fiends, and way more home work them my last school. But this is sec 2 so I guess that the answer. My parent's do know everything, I know about this school, but that's not for long, because I never tell my parent's everything like EVERYTHING, what I don't tell my parent's is... for ex: if I have a crush, I would not tell my parent's, I would not tell anyone! if I got in a fight with one of my friends I would not tell that to parents either, because then when we make up and want to hang out my parent's would not let me XD
